 | Owing to the sad death of John's wife, Rita, on 9th February 2008, a previously unsold original painting is now available for sale. The painting, completed just before John's death in April 1984, was kept by his widow and has remained in the family ever since.
'Hartland Overfalls' was featured in the second book of paintings, published by David & Charles in 1989, John Chancellor's Classic Maritime Paintings, by Rita Chancellor and Austin Hawkins.
